PAVExpress is an optical wireless communications system which is complementary to PAVs' FSO range, providing full duplex, Fast Ethernet 100Mbps bandwidth up to 200 metres. It's low cost, small size, light weight, and express installation capability makes it especially attractive for LAN connectivity in business parks, city centre offices and campus locations.
Eye-safe Class 1M laser-light is used as the transmission medium for PAV's point-to-point line-of-sight FSO links, providing high reliability and availability for Enterprise Networks and telcos alike. Ideal for companies requiring cost effective, rapid installations, this high security system can be re-installed in subsequent locations, instantly overcoming local planning requirements, radio interference, congestion, and the cost of installing or leasing telecommunications lines. Enabling triple-play (the transmission of voice, video and data), PAV's FSO systems are supporting the increasing capacity demands of both mobile phones and the internet and, with over 7000 PAV FSO links installed worldwide, distances up to 4km can be covered.
