The role of FSO Technology

 

Free Space Optical (FSO) Transmission Systems are playing an increasingly important role in the delivery of broadband communications in the Enterprise and wireless backhaul within the GSM world. Providing high bandwidth and reliable communications over short distances FSO is extremely quick and simple to deploy.

 

With the technology free from government licences and not requiring planning permission then network planners are utilising FSO as an integral tool for network connectivity giving significant benefits in terms of time and cost savings.
