Customer Case Study: Boeing Market Sector: Manufacturing
Region: The America's Country: U.S.A.
Solution: PAV SkyNet Ethernet 10 Mb/s system

The Boeing Company was looking for a way to transmit data between two buildings on a flight line at their plane in Wichita, KS. Microwave was not feasible because they needed a system that would not create any interference to aircraft electronics or communication.

Trenching cable was not an option due to local problems and cost.

The Boeing Company researched alternative options and selected the SkyNetŪ Ethernet 10 Mb/s link through PAV's American distribution partner (ICS), as it met all criteria for their site specific parameters.

Boeing contacted ICS to learn more about the specific installation and operational requirements.

A spokesperson for Boeing was "very impressed with all presentations and the quick and simple installation procedure. The actual installation took approximately four hours and all equipment operated well within the specified parameters".

For proprietary reasons Boeing cannot divulge specific of the application, however, the spokesperson states, "I have found PAV's American partner to be extremely responsive and helpful. Since installation the link has performed extremely well, even through Kansas thunderstorms, and we are planning to install more systems.
