The SkyCell™ E3 Series of telecommunications products have been developed specifically for utilisation within the expanding GSM cellular market. The main utilisation of the products is as an interconnection between Micro Cellular hardware. Typical installations are between Base Station Controllers and Base Station Transceivers, and Base Stationer Controller to Base Station Controller. There are currently two formats of the SkyCell™ 34 Mb/s Series offering connection capabilities up to 2000 and 4000 metres. Connectivity: Connection between the main telecommunications / data networking hardware and the Infra red transmitter is made via a copper to fibre converter located remotely from the Infra red transmitter. This allows the 75 unbalanced E3 signal to be passed directly over the Infra red transmitter via its fibre 1300nm SC multimode interface. Configuration: Due to the unique nature of the SkyCell™ E3 Series of products, a seamless interconnection of Cellular hardware is achievable. All equipment operates at its full rated bandwidth and introduces near zero latency. Additionally, due to the nature of the technology utilised, there is no interruption of any clocking mechanisms. Security: By utilising unique advanced error resistant coding within the full range of equipment manufactured, a highly secure connection is achievable which is transparent to RF scanners or spectrum analysers.
